Property Tax Rate

The property tax is the major source of revenue for the support of the local and regional school districts, county and municipal governments. The 2011 Tax Ratio is 98.75%. The 2010 Tax rate is $2.318 per $100 of evaluation.

The Tax Assessor's Department is legally required to contact property owners each year. Please notify the tax assessor's office when you change your address. The blue cards mailed to property owners in January are not a record of taxes paid, but are a notice of assessed value.
