Washington Township Office of Emergency Management (OEM) may use
emergency vehicle Public Address systems to notify residents with
roving messages.
A Telephone
Emergency Notification system has been implemented by the Morris
County Office of Emergency Management for use in Washington Township.
This system provides OEM and the Washington Township Communications

of emergency. The purpose of the system is to notify the community
of important events such as, missing children, natural disasters,
community alerts, etc..
When needed,
the emergency services can select a certain street, section, or
even the entire Township and call nearly every home, business, school,
medical facility or any combination to deliver the important information.
The
Washington Township Office of Emergency Management (WTOEM) may
utilize non-Communication Personnel to take non-emergency calls
for information during an emergency or employ recorded messages
similar to those used by the schools for school closings.
In
case of an emergency WTOEM may be contacted at 908-876-3232
