Washington Township Historical Society is holding a Used Book Sale

Proceeds benefit the Society's new archival project.

Sale Dates and Times:

  • Thursday, April 17: 4-8pm
  • Friday, April 18: 8am - 8pm
  • Saturday, April 19: 8am-4pm

Annual Scholarship Offered


ScholarshipThe Washington Township Historical Society is offering a $500 scholarship to a college-bound high school senior who resides within the Township with an interest in history.

WMC students should inquire at the Guidance Department for an application. Others, inquire directly through the WT Historical Society at info@wthsnj.org or leave a message at (908) 876-9696.

Please indicate in your message the call should be brought to the attention of the Scholarship Committee.

A short essay is required as well as a list of history related projects with which the applicant has been involved. These may be school related, publications, internships, community related, and/or projects or assistance to the Society itself. Preference may be given to local or county history. Applications should be submitted by April 30 or as required by WMC.

The lecture will be held at the Washington Township Public Library Wednesday, April 23, from 7-9 PM. FREE Admission . The Lecture is to celebrate the 270th Anniversary of the Founding of German Valley (1738--2008)
