Columbia Trail Tromp for Seniors
Help Stomp Out Cancer
The business associations of Long Valley, Califon and High Bridge (LVVA, CAMPA, HBBA) would like to invite you to join with us in supporting an event to benefit The Advanced Research Foundation, a 501c dedicated to finding a cure for cancer ()
On August 22, 2010, we are sponsoring a Walk, Run, and Bike along the Columbia Trail. Seniors can STOMP out Cancer by participating in the senior walk. This will begin in the parking lot of Toll Brother's Regency development on Fairview Avenue and will proceed through Mill Pond Park, owned by the Washington Township Land Trust. Participants can walk on either or both of two marked trails, a distance of about one mile in total. The Senior walk is free thanks to a generous donation from SKYLANDS ORTHOPAEDICS PC in HACKETTSTOWN
Seniors can register at or can sign up at the Senior Citizens Center in Long Valley or the PNC bank in Long Valley.
Non senior participants will have parking provided at the Toll Bros. Regency on Fairview Avenue and will start their journey at the Somerset Hills Bank on Schooley’s Mountain Road. A rest stop party will be held at Califon Island Park. Riders will begin at 7 AM, walkers and runners at 8:30 AM.
This will be a family-friendly outing for all ages! Walk, run or ride as much of the scenic Columbia Trail as you would like and enjoy the fellowship of others in our community. Shuttle buses will be provided from Califon Island Park and High Bridge, as needed.
Pre Registration is required , any questions or info about sponsorship or volunteering or call 908 672-2458. Everyone who registers gets a T-shirt, water bottle and other goodies too! Become a fan on Facebook for the most up to date information.
