Long Valley's Planter Palooza
Thrteen Teams Compete - You Select the Winner!
Thirteen teams are competing in downtown Long Valley for the title of "most beautiful container garden". Each team has created container gardens which they've planted and will take care of through September.
With names like Dirty Fingernails, Containers Couture and the Sisterhood of the Traveling Plants, the competion is sure to be fierce all summer long. There are teams of families, groups of friends, several scout troops, members of the Garden Club of Long Valley and downtown businesses/organizations.
All of the team names and locations are listed on the Long Valley Village Association's website at The team with the most votes at the end of the season will receive a prize donated by the LVVA.
Visit the containers along Schooley's Mountain and East Mill Roads and decide which container inspires you. Visitors are encouaraged to check back on them throughout the season because they'll get more spectular as the summer annuals grow. Each container is marked with a team label donated by Value Banner.
