Freeholders to Meet in Washington Township
The Morris County Freeholders will be in Washington
Township on November 28 to conduct their regular public meeting
at 7:30 PM. in the Township Municipal Building, located at 43
Schooley's Mountain Road. Freeholder Director Margaret Nordstrom said the freeholders
are taking some of their regular public meetings on the road
to give them and local officials the chance to exchange ideas. "Conducting some of our meetings outside of Morristown,
the county seat, and taking them to various towns in the county
will help us stay in better contact with municipal officials
and will give us first hand knowledge of the issues facing
them," Nordstrom said. Nordstrom, a Washington Township resident and a former mayor
of the community, also said the freeholders hope the meetings
will encourage greater public involvement in county government. The freeholders have conducted similar public meetings this
year in Montville and Roxbury. More information about the freeholder meeting schedule may
be obtained by contacting the county government's public information
office at 973-285-6015.
