Rabid Cat Warning

The Washington Township Health Department recenty completed a reverse 911 message for residents within one mile of the Coleman Road/ Bartley Road/ Naughright Road intersection. The text of the message was,

A rabid cat was recently confirmed in your area. The Health Department is requesting that you be on the lookout for any domestic or wild animal that acts strangely.

If you observe a strangely behaving domestic or wild animal, do not approach the animal. Please call the Washington Township Police Department immediately at 908-876-3232.

Please keep your family and any of your animals away from the suspected animal.
