The Township Committee Moved and carried a petition asking te Committee to pass the ordinance, a selection of which is below, to regulate traffic in the township on October 17, 1914.
That the rider of any bicycle shall not allow the same to proceed in any street of this township by inertia momentum with his feet removed from the pedals. The rider of any bicycle shall not remove both hands from the handlebars while riding him or her bicycle, nor practice any trick or fancy riding in any of the streets of the township. The rider of any bicycle shall not carry upon his of her bicycle in any of the streets of the Township of Washington , any child under the age of five years, or ride his or her bicycle on any sidewalk used by pedestrians
